Star Trac, IHRSA and SPINNING® have joined forces to launch Chain Reaction, a fundraising event that will help combat the teen obesity epidemic that faces our country. The goal for Chain Reaction is to raise $1 million dollars for HealthCorps® and use that funding to establish the HealthCorps curriculum in IHRSA cities like San Francisco and San Diego for the next three years. Founded by cardiologist and The Oprah Winfrey Show health expert, Dr. Mehmet Oz, HealthCorps teaches high school kids how the body works so they’ll have the power to make smart decisions about fitness and nutrition. HealthCorps currently conducts programs in 45 schools and with your help, plans to grow to 65-75 schools in the coming year in 15 major cities across the US.
